Llegó Raúl a Panamá para la VII Cumbre de las Américas

El General de Ejército Raúl Castro Ruz, Presidente de los Consejos de Estado y de Ministros, arribó a Ciudad de Panamá, donde participará en la VII Cumbre de las Américas que sesionará los días 10 y 11 de abril, en el Centro de Convenciones Atlapa de esa capital.

Cuba and United States Chancellors met in Panama

PANAMA,  April 10, 2015. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, and the Secretary of State of United States, John Kerry, held a meeting last night in this capital.
This was confirmed by Alejandro González Galeano, Press director general at the Cuban Chancery.

This is the meeting of highest level between Cuba and the United States following the December 17th, when presidents Raul Castro and Barack Obama publicly anounced the political decision to re-establish the diplomatic relations.

Abel Prieto dijo que vamos a denunciar este tipo de tratamiento y reafirmar que estamos negados a dialogar con esa falsa sociedad civil y como delegación exigimos que sean expulsados los terroristas y mercenarios. ¿Cómo vamos a hablar de diálogos entre las Américas si los terroristas están en ese espacio, cómo quieren que sea una conversación seria, transparente y digna, civilizada entre las Américas, si los que protegen a esos terroristas, están siendo inscritos a los foros de la Cumbre?, apuntó el intelectual cubano.

There will Be No Declaration on the Summit of the Americas We have learned that there will be no declaration in the Summit of the Americas because the position of the United States and Canada have affected the consensus of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean who  upheld their positions as to environment, right to free education and the removal of the Executive Order against Venezuela.

 

Overwhelming support for Cuba in the Civil Society Forum

Various social organizations joined our continent this Thursday in supporting Cuba’s position in the workshops of the Summit of the Americas’ Civil Society Forum and demanded the expulsion of the group of mercenaries who have been accredited to participate in the event.

Edgardo Voitier, of the Panamanian Frente Amplio por Colón (Broad Front of Colon), read a statement on behalf of Panamanian civil society organizations criticizing the presence of people who “do not believe in prosperity or peace and do not come to contribute, but to provoke.”
